Dreams and more

The Dreams – series is painted on antique bedsheets which my then mother-in-law received for the day of her birth in may 1921, so they were made in 1920. I decided to give them enternal life and use them for my “Dreams 1, 2 and 3”. I painted them , cut them and sewed them again in different order. Turned them around to have a  delicate background for “Dreams 1” which shows a woman dreaming or day-dreaming. Can be her, can be you, can be me myself….   “Dreams 2” requires come closer and fill the fractures of the painting with your personal dreams like falling into deep, numbers, lost highways.  I created them as a díptico but then noticed taht I needed a third piece for the series. In “Dreams 3” I combined one fracture of Dreams 2 and the woman of Dreams 1 to create a stronger impression.

Each of them is about 145 x 70 cm on size

In the mood of low saturation black/white paintings I created another very different painting which is made of coffee bags sprayed whit acrílic paint. At one point my partner asked me to not intervene more and I agreed. The title is “Just because he likes it”
